On July 1, 2016, the Third China Conference on Information Communication Technology Testing (“CICTT”) was held at Shanghai Pine City Hotel. This conference was jointly organized by China Institute of Communications, China Academy of Information and Communications Technology, State Radio Regulation of China and www8455con and 葡京娱乐场网站官网, Chinese Academy of Sciences with assistance from Research Institute of China Mobile and China Unicom Research Institute, and was jointly undertaken by State Key Laboratory of Networking and Switching Technology under Beijing University of Posts and Telecommunications, Key Lab of Wireless Sensor Network and Communication, Chinese Academy of Sciences, and Shanghai Research Center for Wireless Communications (WiCO). This conference was aimed at boosting the development of domestic communication testing technology and promoting broader and deeper R&D cooperation and exchange in information & communication field. This conference was co-chaired by Shi Guang, director of Academic Work Department of China Institute of Communications, and Yang Yang, director of Key Lab of Wireless Sensor Network and Communication, Chinese Academy of Sciences. Song Tong, deputy secretary general of China Institute of Communications, Xiao Jing, deputy chief of high-tech industry division of Science and Technology Commission of Shanghai Municipality, and Dong Jiming, deputy chief of Information Industry Division of Shanghai Municipal Commission of Economy and Informatization, attended and addressed this meeting.

Experts and representatives from scientific research institutions including State Radio Regulation of China, China Telecommunication Technology Labs under China Academy of Information and Communications Technology, State Key Laboratory of Networking and Switching Technology under Beijing University of Posts and Telecommunications, Research Institute of China Mobile, Industry and Standardization Team of IEEE Communications Society and StarPoint shared their ideas at this conference.

“Software and computing – response to new challenges from 5G testing” became the theme of this conference, and experts present at the conference shared their views and ideas on the development of 5G testing technology in three aspects including technology research, product development and application development. Global leading communication testing enterprises attended this event: Keysight shared its understanding of massive MIMO and viewpoints on testing & measurement challenges, explained the difference between massive MIMO and traditional multi-antenna and latest testing techniques, and demonstrated new products designed for testing 5G simulation and verification; National Instruments (NI) delivered a keynote speech entitled “Redefine Radio Frequency Instruments ---- From 5G Prototype Solution to Wireless Production and Testing”, which set forth the challenges and difficulties from development of hardware and software for NI’s modular platform for wireless prototyping.

Prof. Wu Tongning, head of Environment and Security Department of China Telecommunication Technology Labs under China Academy of Information and Communications Technology, made a keynote speech entitled “Neurocomputing Based Mobile Phone User Experience Testing”, which reiterated that 5G applications would not be restricted to mobile communication industry and would greatly benefit industrial, medical care, robot control and other fields.

As the only large event focusing on testing technology and industrial development in China’s information communication industry, “China Conference on Information Communication Technology Testing” creates a professional, open, interconnected communication platform for domestic technical exchange on information communication testing and a rare communication channel for the industry’s positive development, and also paves the way for China’s information communication testing industry to embrace the upcoming 5G age and mobile Internet era.
